About Your Guide, Ria Mishaal
I'm a scientist, photographer and artist. With a unique blend of a PhD in science, 15 years of professional photography, and a successful art business, I am here to guide you through your artistic evolution.
My experience in teaching over 100 individuals, ranging from beginners to budding entrepreneurs, ensures a rich and supportive learning environment for all.

MONTHLY LESSONS
Twice a month, you'll receive pre-recorded lessons in audio, video and written format. These will cover natural history, artistic tecnique and mastering key guiding principles in art and photography.
WEEKLY LIVE SESSIONS
Live group sessions designed to help you forge a clear path towards your artistic goals and reduce overwhelm in your journey. We alternate between live co-creation sessions and live Q&As including our Mini Mindset Mission trainings.
TUTORIAL & RESOURCES LIBRARY
For those who want to explore the realm of creative entrepreneurship, dip into a library of bite sized tutorials and resources, teaching you skills that will allow you to share and sell your art with confidence, from mastering photography of what you create to marketing plans.
Pre-recorded Learning Sessions
These are clear, bite sized lessons that will teach and inspire you without taking too much time. These are self paced and available whenever you are.
Species Sessions
Once a month, explore the natural world and drawing inspiration from a naturalist’s perspective
- Species Story (audio): A lesson on our species of the month, the natural history, cultural history and inspiration we can draw from the species.
- Drawing lesson (video): suitable for beginners and those who want to refresh their skills, a clear step by step video of how to draw the monthly species
- Artwork Inspiration Guide: step-by-step instructions on incorporating species into artwork, suitable for various skill levels. Including colour palette discovery and species paring guides.
Guiding Principles Sessions
Once a month, allow you to master key principles in art and photography.
- Photography, Art and Color Theory: Breaking down complex principles into digestible content, accessible for beginners and the more established
- Inspiration Sessions: regular ‘Inspiration sessions’ where we explore different artistic techniques and mediums with guest experts
All lessons will come with prompts and exercises and a monthly challenge, designed to expand your creativity, practise your skills and help you expand your portfolio. These challenges that are exciting yet doable, encouraging creativity without adding pressure.
Live Co-Creation and Q&A sessions
All sessions will be made available for replay - not everyone has the same schedule!
These run once a week and alternate between the two types. Attend when you want to, or watch the replays any time. I will offer different sessions catering to various time zones to accommodate members’ schedules.
Co-creation sessions
are live video calls where we come together to work on our own artwork, providing a wonderful community experience and the productivity that comes from having a designated time and a group to work with.
Q&A and Mindset Work
Each session will begin with a short mindset mission, where we will work on our mindset as artists, planning effectively and taking action with the support of the group. We will follow this with live Q&As where you can ask all your questions.
